Cute Christmas!

Cute Christmas!Infusing cuteness into every aspect of my life is sort of my thing, thus the nature of my website: “A cute but mature outlook on life“. Christmas happens to be one of the very best times to add a little cuteness into your life because let’s face it; there is so much adorable stuff to be found during this time of the year! There are so many outlets available for you to show off your cuteness, too, from wrapping paper to the decor you decide to put around your house. I’m still in the early stages of acquiring Christmas knick-knacks to put around the house, but that hasn’t stopped me from starting my collection! I find it interesting that there are so many different “styles” of Christmas decor available from the traditional to the whimsical and a little bit of everything in between. In fact, I just found “geek inspired” wrapping paper complete with binary print and emoticons, available at ThinkGeek.com. So really, there is something out there for everyone. I have swept the internet to bring to you some of the cutest Christmas items that I could find and that I felt needed to be showcased to everyone! :-)

Cute Christmas
1 Sweet Snowman Christmas Cards: 20 cards for $14.00 Sweet Snowman Christmas Cards: A simply adorable snowman makes for such a cute Christmas card and it’s one of those all purpose “holiday cards” as it’s suitable for those who do not celebrate Christmas in the holiday season; the inner message is a short and sweet, “Seasons Greetings”. My personal favorite seasonal icon is a snowman, so these cards are right up my alley and I’d definitely smile if I received one of these from a friend or family member. These are available in a number of stores or you could also order them on the temple of cuteness, a.k.a.: Fred Flare! Check out this style of Christmas cards as well as many others at: fredflare.com.
2 Reindeer Shower Cap: $6.00Reindeer Shower Cap: So I’m not entirely sure if people even use shower caps nowadays, but if they do…you can’t go wrong with a Reindeer one, especially in the holiday season! I wish that I could find a picture of a person actually wearing this cute-as-hell shower cap, but alas…I couldn’t. If you own this shower cap, do me a favor and snap a picture of yourself wearing it (preferably not while you’re in the shower). I think it’s cute and kudos to someone who can show celebrate their holiday spirit while cleaning up in the shower! Perhaps you could even tune to your shower radio to the all-Christmas music station (I’m assuming most places have those, we have two…) while you wear your reindeer cap! This is available among many other adorable items at: urbanoutfitters.com.
3 Candy Cane Amaryllis: $25.00 Candy Cane Amaryllis: Who knew that nature could be beautiful…and cute! Once I saw these Candy Cane Amaryllis on Wishingfish, I instantly fell in love with their beauty and unique appeal. This would be a perfect table centerpiece and a great gift to give to a co-worker or even a hostess of a Christmas party! The best part being that the description says that it’s easy to grow and all of the necessary tools come included, so you or your recipient do not need to be a green thumb in order to produce such a festive flower! The packaging is very nice; it comes in a white container with a red bow and an attached card and the container is a Recyclabowl which is made from post-harvest straw, recycled newspaper, and trimmings collected from the corrugated box industry. I always have been a big supporter of giving a plant to someone as a gift, especially one that’s easy to grow and looks fantastic in bloom. You can find this Candy Cane Amaryllis and many other interesting things at: wishingfish.com.
4 Snowman/Snowflake Cookie Press: $5.95 each Snowman/Snowflake Cookie Press: A twist on the original cookie cutter, this cookie press allows you to stamp a festive design on your cookie without the use of the cookie cutters which don’t always have that great of a turn out rate as far as identifiable shapes are concerned. I haven’t personally used these before, but I’ve seen the final outcome of a friend who has given them a go and they actually look pretty damn cute. I found these on Crate & Barrel as well as many other adorable Christmas items. While you’re there picking up the cookie presses, also pick up a bag of the Holiday Sugar Cookie Mix ($7.95) where you just have to had eggs, butter, and water and voila! Do a little bit of your holiday shopping at: crateandbarrel.com.
5 Sugar and Spice Serving Bowl Sugar and Spice Serving Bowl: This serving bowl is the perfect addition to the rest of your cute serveware and is sure to get many compliments from your guests. I found this at Kohl’s…which is one of the reasons that I didn’t put a price down next to the bowl because Kohl’s is always having great sales and you should be able to find it at a killer deal if you keep checking the website for sales! The last time that I checked it was $15.20! That picture really doesn’t give the bowl it’s proper justice because it really is adorable in person, so if you live by a Kohl’s you should just go check it out for yourself. :-) You can check out this sweet bowl as well as many other Christmas items at: kohls.com.
6 Rachel Ray's Holiday Ginger Pig Pig Cookie Cutter: Many of you are probably saying to yourselves, “What the hell does a pig have to do with Christmas?” I found a recipe in my Everyday with Rachel Ray magazine for holiday Ginger Pigs and I thought that they were so cute! So, while you’re pressing your sugar cookies with the Crate & Barrel cookie presses, you can also roll bake some Ginger Pigs using this recipe and these cookie cutters. Those cookie cutters aren’t identical to the shape of the Ginger Pig, but they are only $0.99 and you can add your own creative touch to your final product! I plan on trying out the Ginger Pig recipe this Christmas and if it turns out ok…then not only will it be cute, but delicious to boot!
7 Snowman Fondue Pot: $25.95 Snowman Fondue Pot: I am in love with this fondue pot– purely and simply in love. Everything from the Snowman fondue pot to the little snowman topped forks, it’s wintery goodness and a total point of topic for conversation for all of your guests that get to use it! If you can’t really see it from the picture, the dip goes in the top of the red hat and a tealight candle goes as pictured to warm the dip. The winter time is perfect for warming up to a yummy fondue dip or warm chocolate with strawberries…mmm. I found this adorable item at Patina and you should definitely pay a visit to their website at: patinastores.com.
8 Snowman Salt & Pepper Shakers: $9.95Snowman Salt and Pepper Shakers: I couldn’t just showcase one of the many items from the Patina website, so I decided to pick another adorable gem and that would be these Snowman Salt & Pepper Shakers. I love these for so many reasons with one being their sweet little faces to the other being that they are cute while still being distinct from each other to show that one is salt (without the hat) and the other is pepper (with the hat), and of course they’re holding their little signs, too. This website has a whole assortment of cute snowman stuff aside from the two that I have featured. If I haven’t persuaded you yet to visit the Patina website, go do it: patinastores.com.
9 Happy Owlidays Reversible Wrapping Paper: $8.49Owl Reversible Wrapping Paper: I have seen this wrapping paper at Hallmark and also at The Container Store and I’ve picked it up at both stores…but unfortunately it doesn’t match the rest of my wrapping paper so I never bought it. My hope is that one of you will buy it and wrap all of your cute presents up in it! As you can see from the picture, one side is made up of green owls with big ol’ eyes wearing Santa hats and the other side is mainly red with little white polka dots. Both are very cute and there’s nothing better than getting two different patterns in one big roll (and the roll is fairly big). I strongly urge each and every one of you to check out The Container Store, assuming that you have one in your area. The wrapping paper is a little on the expensive side, but it’s of great quality and the majority of the rolls are pretty big. So! If you don’t have The Container Store around you, check out their website which features a portion of their wrapping paper: thecontainerstore.com.
10 Rudolph "You Light Up My Life" Shirt: $14.99Rudolph “You Light Up My Life” Shirt: One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is to watch all of those Bass & Rankin movies such as Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer. You can only imagine how pleased I was to find this Rudolph shirt along with some other designs at 80stees.com. I’m not really a fan of wearing pink, but this shirt is so damn cute that I don’t think that I’d mind! And of course, everyone that sees me wearing this shirt 8that is also a fan of the movies will surely appreciate it! I also found Heat Miser and Freeze Miser shirts on Gkworld.com. Check out the 80s Tees website for this cute shirt and more at 80stees.com.

So of course this just skims the tip of the iceberg as far as cute Christmas items are concerned, but hey…you have to start somewhere! If you have any adorable items that you currently own or plan to own, please do share! Everything about Christmas is lovely and as I’ve said before, it’s really interesting when you start to see your individual personal style shine through with all of the different designs of Christmas decor–including the cute stuff! :-)

Here’s to having a wonderful (and adorable) Christmas this year!

-M.
